Airport announcements, staff instructions and official emergency procedures remain primary; mobile data is not an emergency service or a guarantee that an app, bank or merchant will work. Where urgent help is needed, use the locally applicable official channel. Do not make live location, a chat group or one phone the only way for a child, dependent traveller or separated companion to proceed.

After the offline pack, official channels and fallbacks are ready, write down the remaining non-critical tasks and likely dates. Check whether airport Wi-Fi or existing roaming already covers them. Continue only if the exact unlocked device supports the delivered eSIM method and one current offer explicitly lists France, Spain, Germany, Italy or every other country now required. Compare the displayed allowance, total price, validity and activation trigger; do not infer continuity from country names.
